Slappers, hitters and punchers for peace
Slappers, hitters and punchers for peace

I have butted heads with so-called “peace protesters” since before the United States began its campaign to liberate Iraq and protect America’s security on March 19, 2003. I have also been inside Iraq’s war zone, and I’ve seen much more inhumanity in the streets of Berkeley than on the dirt roads of Iraq.
Looking back at the past five years, I’ve learned something that Americans needs to understand for our own safety: Violence among “peace protesters” is the norm, not the exception. Bombs, blood, harassment, guerrilla attacks and terrorism.
Nothing is off the plate for peacethugs.
These rabid rabble-rousers are conspiring together to ensure they’re effective in their attacks.
“Peace” activists work on all types of issues, from alleged animal protection (think PETA) and anti-war grievances, to saving the earth (EarthFirst!).
What they all have in common is violence veiled in inoffensive language of peace and goodness.
Recently, the most high-profile attack came in Times Square when some America-hater exploded an IED at the recruiting office, which has been a constant target of peacethugs.
Just last week, a “peace” activist slapped a female blogger filming dueling pro-troop, anti-war rallies in West Chester, Pa.
John Meicht, identified as a college professor, was arrested and charged for interfering with a police investigation when he shoved an officer asking questions about the incident.
Is this how professor Meicht wants to bring peace to the world; by hitting a woman until she agrees with him?
On Easter Sunday, the holiest day of the year for Christians, six peacethugs calling themselves Catholic Schoolgirls Against the War, terrorized churchgoers at Holy Name Cathedral as Cardinal Francis George delivered his homily. They shot fake blood on people as women and children screamed in fear.
Peaceful? Right.
Most people who haven’t seen these roiling freaks in action should know they aren’t just anti-war. They are anti-society, anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-capitalism and anti-democracy.
The groups are led by neo-Communists such as Medea Benjamin, cofounder of Code Pink, and offshoots of the violent Earth First!, led by Howard “Twilly” Cannon, founder of the Ruckus Society, formed in the San Francisco Bay area in 1995.
These groups work together to train in guerrilla tactics, anti-police movements, media relations and violence. The Ruckus Society holds training sessions for the elite peacethugs to indoctrinate and spread their hate.
In short, they learn modern-day terrorism. While America’s military troops fight a war on terrorism around the world, civilians here at home face homegrown terrorists who call themselves “peace activists.” Don’t be fooled. These punks are more like the bomb-throwing Yasser Arafat than the peace-loving Gandhi.
According to Discoverthenetworks.org, “the Ruckus Society played a major role in the 1999 riots in Seattle protesting a World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting there. Many Ruckus-trained activists smashed store windows, set cars ablaze and did millions of dollars in property damage.”
“Violence to me is [only] against living things,” Ruckus’ executive director John Sellers once told Mother Jones magazine. “But inanimate objects? I think you can be destructive; you can use vandalism strategically. It may be violence under the law, but I just don’t think it’s violence.” On another occasion, Sellers declared, “Anarchism has gotten a really bad rap, like communism.”
What else is there to say? Peacethugs love violence. They thrive on it. The ends justify the means. Besides, the mainstream media will cover for them because they use their “inside voices” for TV sound bites, while screaming their lungs out at fed-up patriots who show up to confront their hatred of the military and all things American.
In Santa Cruz, Calif., 300 UC Santa Cruz students led by Students Against the War kicked Army, Navy and Marine Corps recruiters out of the annual Career Center Job Fair.
These young jack-boots occupied the streets, infiltrated the Job Fair, causing a riot and forcing the military recruiters out.
Mountain States Legal Foundation Director William Perry Pendley joined with the Young America’s Foundation in a lawsuit to strip UCSC of $80 million of federal funding for preventing recruitment in Santa Cruz for three years running.
I have watched as Code Pinkers incited teenagers to wear bandanas over their faces and attack military veterans at a rally Move America Forward held in Berkeley in February. Code Pink worked with another anarchist hate group called World Can’t Wait.
The Ruckus Society holds hands with Code Pink’s Benjamin in their evil, destructive work. Code Pink is the ringleader in harassing Marines at the Berkeley, Calif., recruiting center.
What is worse is that the Berkeley City Council encourages this anarchy and violation of people’s civil rights. That is why my group, Move America Forward, has hired legal counsel who wrote a letter to the U.S. attorney asking for an investigation into the Berkeley City Council’s gift of public funds to Code Pink in the form of a free, designated parking spot and free noise permits. We are also asking the investigation to include the city’s alleged violations of individuals’ civil rights, among other issues.
We will release more details about the letter and investigation on Monday. We are taking direct action against the peacethugs and their enablers, such as the Berkeley City Council.
While researching this column, I read something profound on anotherwaronterrorblog.blogspot.com:
“Odd, how people who advocate military action on terrorists, with the intent of bringing peace to a region, are “hypocrites,” while people who hate violence and bomb military recruiting offices aren’t.”
Despite the soft rhetoric of the Kumbaya crowd, the ugly reality of the actions of these terrorists is likely to result in someone getting hurt, possibly killed.
Perhaps then they will come clean with the American people and say it the way many see it: “Protesting for Peace, Through Violence.”
