Military family under attack by Peace Thugs
This is exactly what I am doing this for, to document cases of intolerance and brutality by the “peaceful” anti war activists.
Here we have a military family who has been harassed and attacked.

This particular family has been under attack for almost a year by the ‘peace thugs’. Their home was attacked in the night on 2 occasions, once breaking windows out of their car.
This is a military family and they deserve better. The GOE has been very patient in dealing with these thugs, I dont think that patience is going to stretch much further.
The first hand account:
The AAR for Saturday’s Iran-mobile counter in Meadville will be delayed. Our video camera has been confiscated by the Edinboro PD.
We had a counter protest today in Edinboro. It was an Iraq war protest put together by Richard McVay. He was not present but there were about 10 college students, a couple professors and a group of Hillary supporters.
Anyways, Andrew went to the their protest site to videotape a couple odd displays they put up. They were beginning to get aggresive with Andrew simply because he was recording their protest. Jason and I went over to make sure he was ok.
Long story short one girl attacked me which turned into 2 girls attacking me. Jason pulled one off of me and then he was attacked and held down by 4-5 people getting punched in the head.
Meanwhile Andrew pulled the other girl off me and then she kicked me in the head with a great big boot. I called the cops and while we were waiting on them the girl that kicked me in the head went over to Andrew(14 years old) and punched him right in the face. My 12, 9, and 7 year olds were standing across the street witnessing the whole thing.
Here’s the kicker. The cops watched the video at the scene and no arrests were made. One of the cops was very aggressive toward us.
The girl later spit on Jason right in front of the cop and nothing was done about it.
Amazing! Right now I have a huge headache and knots coming up all over my head. Jason has scratch marks on his face not to mention someone stomping on his glasses when they fell off. Andrew has a red cheek.
So we’ll get a AAR for this event and Saturday’s maybe tomorrow night after we get our camera back.
This pissed off woman won’t back down to terror! And next time I will fight back!!!

I had the honor of meeting the Swartouts; Jason, his wife Carrie, and their son Andrew on 3/15 at the Eagles Up Pro-Troop Rally amd March in DC. Jason is a brother OIF Vet, and knowing he was attacked is bad enough, but knowing his wife and son were assaulted as well just sent me over the edge!!!! We Soldiers will tolerate attacks on us, but when these gutless, hate-filled, anti-military extremists physically assault our families, then ALL BETS ARE OFF!
In my obviously biased opinion, I hope the Swartouts use every legal avenue available to them to bring justice to those who assaulted them, and to the law enforcement who were present, saw the evidence, and DID NOTHING!
A STRONG MESSAGE needs to be sent to these gutless, hate-filled, anti-military extremists, and that message is “DON’T SCREW WITH REAL PATRIOTIC AMERICANS, OR ELSE!”
Sounds to me like I need to visit Meadville sometime to stand with the Swartouts
This is outrageous. I hope complaints have been lodged with the police department’s internal affairs or other department charged with oversight of police officers. I hope a complaint should be made to the state’s attorney general as well as the federal counterpart. Have not their First Amendment rights been trampled on by the left-leaning scum? If they have the names of the cowards then they should immediately seek legal representation and sue the bastards.
What in the hell is wrong with this country? The lawbreakers, aka the scum of the earth, seem to have carte blanche while the patriots, those who love and care for our great country and bear the brunt of supporting her, are demonized and hung out to dry by those sworn to uphold the law.
What I really find disturbing is their children had to witness this. Should they sue, I hope like hell they find deep pockets so they can be recompensed for the trauma of seeing their parents and older brother being beaten by those who espouse “peace”. My prayers go out to the Swartouts.
It’s called “anarcho-tyranny”: government action (or inaction) designed to oppress common, law-abiding folk (or designed to manufacture complex laws and regulations to make common, law-abiding folks into easily-oppressed faux “outlaws”) while turning a blind eye toward–or even actively supporting–outlaws.
Seeing that the cowards in DC and other cowards within the law enforcement agencies have been indoctrinated with PC and the other social diseases, we just may have to take the law into our own hands…if that is what they want.
How many more examples of the non-peaceful peace-niks actions are needed until the “authorities” start cracking down on these morons?

I was at Eagles Muster too and although I didn’t get introduced to the Swartouts, I do remember them. Here’s yet another assault of a person, this time, Andrew, a teenager, who was simply videotaping the proceedings. Another person that I met at Eagles Muster, a lovely young woman named Skye, from the Midnight Blue Blog, was assaulted while videotaping the “peace” demonstration in West Chester, PA, a week after Eagles Muster, Easter Saturday, March 15:
The moonbats aren’t about peace, love and tolerance, they’re about forcing everyone to believe what they do and obviously have no problems assaulting kids, women and veterans who disagree with them! They are clearly demonstrating “the ends justify the means” socialist axiom that they live their lives by.
Watch out for these people, they’re getting desperate now and are lashing out. Let’s learn from Andrew’s and Skye’s assault. If you’re going to videotape the moonbats, make sure you have at least two people accompany you. Never confront them solo.

with a 82yr old women she kicked him in the ass and he filed charges and she had to pay a fine.

Assault is assault, no matter the age, ed. It seems you advocate violence over tolerance - how very peaceful of you.
Everyone has the right in this nation to freely and openly express their opinion on any matter. You are also free to disagree - you are NOT free to hit.
Question: Why was their camera confiscated? There is NO LAW that gives anyone the right to either prevent photography or confiscate photographic equipment. Any photographer whose equipment is confiscated and damaged in any way could and SHOULD have charges filed.

I am a former commander of A Company 1-67 Armor. I travel through the Edinboro area about twice a month. I should start driving by campus to see if any “peace” protestors want to spit on me? Funny they like attacking kids and women why not a warrior leader like me who served their corrupt imperial government and represents everything they hate? My suspicion is they are closet cowards whose stengths come from the mob mentality and would have the gumption to fight me. I on the other hand love fighting. I can honestly say that after the first time I saw a soldier fatally wounded I actually wanted to fight even more. No tears, no fear, just rage and a burning desire for revenge. I know if you live by the sword you die by the sword and I accept that. It actually saddens me that I might die some frail old man in bed one night instead of in a real struggle. What a waste that will be. I can’t wait to get into a scrap so it seems like lovely Edinboro might be a good place to stop for lunch. Miss White Dress provoked the family first, took their signs, and I saw clearly, threw the first punch to Mrs. Swartout, after she pushed back the girl’s friend who was getting in her face and harassing her. Next time you decide to post ‘evidence’ supporting your claims, make sure it actually supports what you’re saying, because you just made yourself to be an ass. I watched the clip over and over, and each time, the first punch was thrown by the girl. The first provoking action was also from the girl, who harassed then took the signs. Besides, Timmy my dear, if you’re so against the ‘corrupt government’ and their military dogs, then why don’t go back to that ‘corrupt goverment’? It’s not just one side, love, it goes on every spectrum. Including police officers who refuse to stop a violent act.
It is a police officer’s job to stop any violence and insure the safety of all individuals, no matter who started it, no matter who through the first punch, no matter their political beliefs. A police officer leaves his beliefs, his politics, at home and serves the country in neutrality and fairness. The police should have stepped in earlier, stopped the fight, and seperated both parties before those savages lunged in for another punch.
Hm, that makes me wonder too.. these girls aren’t to blame, then why is it that everytime someone comes to break it up, it’s the girls that are charging in for another round, not the Swartouts? After all, if they were, supposedly, the offended party and the Swartouts struck first, then why didn’t they follow the cardinal rule when you’re a victim? Incapacitate (i.e., a gut punch or a groin kick,) and run, do not continue to fight, otherwise you’re as bad as the attacker.
Oh, right, of course, the Swartouts came to counter protest. I’m sorry, but I thought that this was a country of free speech, where anyone can go to say what’s on their mind without the fear of being oppressed by other individuals, the militia/police force, and/or the government. The only time the police force should ever stop a protest is when it has the intentions of physically assaulting, vandalizing, and/or preventing the constitutional rights of another person(s).
Free speech doesn’t just apply to you. It’s people like these peace thugs who forget that. Free speech is for everyone. Not just peace activists.
Why, if I wanted to protest the selling of tomatoes, well damn straight I could. I’d look like a fool, but I could. If I wanted to counter protest something, including counter-protesting a protest of the war, then I have every right to, with the protection of the police force as long as I do not intentionally provoke the other side to violence or prevent them from their own demonstrations.
Whoever raised these girls to be such violent, ignorant savages should be ashamed that they took two possibly brilliant minds and twisted them to a mindless hate and a tendency of violence towards anyone who doesn’t agree with them, and stands strong in a differnet belief.

As a impartial party that has been following this story and compared videos the girlie in the white dress was provoked and the blonde girl was pushed and manhandled by Mrs. Swartout.
How about you take the time, pull the video source down and watch it in Slow Motion and most importantly PAY ATTENTION.
I realize this is probably all too advanced for your pay grade so I’ll tell you what you’ll find out. The Swartout’s started this altercation.
Maybe you could also do a little background check on them. You’ll find out that this isn’t the first time this family has been in this type of situation. They have a history of starting and provoking fights.
Perhaps next time they’ll run into a protest that is organized and ready for them. One with hidden cameras and microphones catching them in the act and exposing them for the trouble makers they are.

She was never provoked at all unless you regard being videotaped as provocation.
In fact, the claims you and Ed make regarding the Swartouts all boil down to one thing, that they go to the protest rallies and observe, video tape, and vocally disagree.
Is that really the standard you hold for provocation?
Asid from the wheel chair fellow’s bumping people in the leg to annoy them, the girl in white made the first provoking moves. She took Jason’s sign and threw it in the street, she then stood on it to disallow his recovery, both of which are are clearly provocation. Then when he pulled the sign from under her (jack) boot, she got in Jason’s face, advancing on him in a threatening manner.
The Vet’s wife tried to separate them, at which point the girl in green grabbed her by the jacket, the first actual assault.
There is no compelling evidence in either video that the Vet’s wife ever touched the girl in white before the girl in green showed up and grabbed her.
In fact, in this video at the 3:50 mark, you can see that the vet’s wife never touched her once during the lead up to the girl in green’s assault. Her hand never touched her, she was putting it between them to seperate them.

The girl in green ran up, grabbed her by the jacket, the wife pushed the girl away and the girl in white assaulted her.
All through this altercation, all the physical violence was initiated by the peaceniks.
And if you honestly think that the girl in white was justified in kicking a woman in the head while wearing boots, than you are hardly the neutral observer you claim.
first of Karl, your the one who’s wrong. WATCH & PAY ATTENTION. The girl in green came in to separate everyone and was shoved to the ground. If you’re going to tell me that she’s an aggressor then you’ll have to say the Vet’s wife is just as guilty because according to your claim she tried to separate them.
Now if you’re talking about first altercation, I will ask you this. Can you hear what the vet is saying to the guy in the wheel chair? Yea didn’t think so. Now why if someone is protesting against what you believe would you go up to them and confront them and not think anything was going to happen?
You wouldn’t. Nobody in their right mind would. Like it or not they have the right to protest. Personally I hate just about anyone who protests but it’s their right. I don’t agree with them but I wouldn’t go right into the middle of their rally and start a debate with out thinking I was going to offend someone if I did, I would go in expecting something to happen.
I see that you choose to ignore that this family has done this in the past. That alone leads me to not trust anything they claim to be true and when there is compelling evidence that proves them to be the aggressor it should make one question what their motives are.
Perhaps they should stay on the other side of the street and protest against the protesters. But seeing as how the Vet went into their protest that makes him the aggressor. Now before you attempt to ask how one can come to that conclusion, I’ll answer that for you with one simple word Harassment. The Vet had options. 1. leave, 2. stay away but protest against them, 3. watch from a far and keep his mouth shut and 4. confront them.
Which one sounds aggressive to you? Yep you guessed right 4. Confront them. Now do you know why it sounds aggressive to you? Yep you guessed it again, because it is.
Where you are correct is that nobody deserves to get kicked in the head, but then again the girl in green didn’t deserve to get shoved to the ground for trying to separate everyone, just as much as the guy in the wheelchair didn’t deserve someone confronting him and harassing him.
The minute the sister in green grabbed the jacket of the vet’s wife it because assault. Period.
You do not have any right to initiate physical contact. The vet’s wife had every right to push her away if she felt threatened.
No matter how you parse it, the girls made the first aggressive moves in this dance.
Should the Swartout’s not have been on that side of the street? I will debate that with you as a fair question.
Initially only the guys son, the 14 year old was there. All he was doing was video taping.
How was that wrong? The protest was in a public place, in a public park. There were no boundaries, and there is no evidence that he was there taunting them with his camera.
He did argue with them when the girl in white, again one of the aggressors, began to harass him.
Should he have stayed with his own family? Perhaps. The question is, why? What about their protest were they afraid of? Why not let him showcase what they are doing and saying? Where is their passion for their cause?
Why block him, why hide their actions?
The vet only came over after they kept harassing his son, blocking him from walking around and surrounding him.
Should he have stayed away? I would have done the same if I was concerned about my son’s safety.
Bottom line is that in all the videos, and I have downloaded and replayed both, none of the Swartout family initiated any violent actions with one exception, and that was when the vet pulled his sign out from under the girls foot.
Yes they argued, but the violence, the physical assaults all began with the two sisters who apparently now are getting anger management and conflict resolution training.
In other words, they lost their tempers and they made an argument into an assault.
If you question the right of the Swartout’s to go to these rallies, I expect you to say the same to Code Pink and the people at this rally who also go to rallies and deliberately provoke reactions from witnesses with outrageous comments and behavior.
If the girl in white and her friends were really non violent, and really wanted to avoid confrontation, all they had to do was be calm, and call a cop. Let the authorities sort out the boundaries.

Leo, I agree that the Swartouts should have the right to protest. You say the protest was in a public place, in a public park, so true, BUT,
even in a public park there is a right and wrong way to behave. For instance, I would not take my top of and sunbathe in the grass. Even though the 14 year old used his camera, there is also a right and wrong way to behave IMO. If the girls did not want him to video tape, why not just leave and go back to the other side??? Nothing would have happened.
His MO is well known, he likes to argue and harrass the other side. I have stated before,
go protest, but can the people not stay apart??? What is so wrong with that idea????
Now, if the girls would have gone across the street and took their “showcase” to the Swartouts, putting it in their personal space, that we all treasure, I would have to agree that this was wrong. But why always try to instigate. I do not know how old you are, but I still say, a younger person should show respect to an older person,
( see the Pleasantville Video). This all could have been avoided. Conneaut Lake could have been avoided. Carrie clearly stated “we drove around Meadville looking for them” ( the WIB)

The Swartouts have tried real hard through their son, to FINALLY make some headlines. WHY??
Now CODE PINK, they ARE over the top, or the Family in Kentucky who goes to Soldiers Funerals. THEY NEED TO BE PROTESTED!!!!!!
Please look at the Video at the Diamond, and watch it without taking sides. Jason is yelling and screaming about him being a Soldier, and taking a bullet for that lady, and that he is going shortly back to Iraq, kept asking, am I a Terrorist???? The answer from the Lady was not
smart, but then neither was Jason’s, he does and will not take a bullet for her. I know he likes to present himself as a FRONTLINE SOLDIER, but clearly he is not. But I still would not call him a Terrorist, perhaps if he screams long and loud enough in my face, I would call him something different, but not a Terrorist. This is exactly how the whole argument happened on the Iraq Forum. He would gladly take a bullet for ME. My son will be more than willing to do that, I explained, he is in Iraq right now. His hate for me is very great, first, I believe because I am a german citizen, second, I looked a little closer at this Soldier and found that he presents himself as a former paratrooper,
being in Iraq, NOW, smashing someones face and pleading PTSD, and probably getting away with it. Yes EAGLES you can be real proud of him.
Oh yes, he also called me a TRAITOR, because I do NOT like the war. I support the Soldiers, wherever they are, but not this unjust war IMO.
And I have explained to Jason, WHY I do not like war period. I thought when my son joined the Military, he joined to protect us, the USA,
not invade another country and blow up innocent people. Why the boy who so much respected life, all living creatures, the boy who built Bluebird houses, so I now can watch many bluebirds we have gained over the years. Somewhere along the way I have failed him. I raised them both to respect even a little bug, they ALL have a place in nature. Humans forget, somehow WE ARE ALL CONNECTED WITH NATURE. A father went across a street in the United States of America, to defend and protect his 14 year old son. The boy did not break any laws, and was only using his constitutional rights as a United States CITIZEN to film and document someone else’s right to assemble ALSO , and he was attacked by adults . What happened before or after this incident has no bearing on the judges decision.
The only thing worse that not having any rights, is not knowing what your rights are.
The Swartout’s have participated peacefully in hundreds of counter-protests in the past year. The only incident has been the Dewalt case in which an old lady decided to kick Mr. Swartout because she didn’t want him at their protest. She was charged and found guilty of harrasment. That’s as far as these supposed “incidents” go. Nice try Timmy….. Keep researching…

No one stole any signs anyway. Call the state police and ask them if it is ok to take down the anti-war signs that are left on public property. Go ahead and call them. They are the ones who gave our group the permission to take them down. They said we would be doing them and PennDot a favor.
Actually the quote from the Diamond was “I’m going back to Iraq and I don’t hope to die but if I do I do it for you” No one said anything about taking a bullet. It’s sad though that you don’t realize that combat soldier or not he is still volunteering to enter a war zone for your freedom. He sacrifices time from his wife and kids for you. You’d think you would be a little more appreciative.
I know that Andrew is a great kid and is passionate about his country and the military. He’s also a great student who is working on an awesome project with his video camera.
The Swartouts do all the stuff you said. Their kids spend lots of time around Veterans. They do stuff for them. They pack boxes and gather donations for those currently serving. Andrew has been to Walter Reed. Have you? Don’t talk down to this family like you are so much better than them. They do just as much as you and probably more. The best you can do is to belittle them and try to cause public hatred toward them.

AMERICAN’S ARE BEING BETRAYED BY INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP
There is a cry, more of a whimper, asking American citizens to standup and be counted, to take account of what’s happening to each of us, recognize the “sell-out” of America to greedy opportunist….to confront a worthless Congress and Administration that takes us to war, waffles, hesitates, back-tracks, cries the “war is lost”…to demand leadership work on
issues affecting citizens right here in America……so far it’s ho hum…yawn…
What’s it going to take………gas to reach $8.00 per gallon? Milk at $10.00 per gallon, bread at $6.00 a loaf, a small can of beans at $3.00, eggs at $5.00 per dozen, another 20 million illegal aliens to endanger our highways, clog our emergency rooms, over-crowd our schools, fill our prisons, empty social programs? Think about it…….will we continue to sit at home and whine while politicians, corporations, wall-street and others bleed us dry. The prices and conditions above are coming unless American citizens demand an end to corruption and insist on leadership and accountability throughout America for America.
In case America has forgotten, nearly everything we consume, need, use, comes to us via truck. Are you aware of diesel fuel costs today? Over $4.00 per gallon and rising everyday…….you know what that means for American citizens that need to eat, put fuel in their vehicles to get to work, put clothes on children, go to church? It translates to being gouged, betrayed, abandoned by leadership in America and an outside enemy.
Worse yet, in addition to cowardly American leadership, it should be obvious where the basic gouging occurs. Middle Eastern and other nations are feeding on the blood of our warriors and the dollars being stolen from us at our own gas pumps.
If there was ever validity to the “trickle down effect”, it is a reality in America today……when gas prices increase a penny, so does your milk, eggs,meat, butter, bread and beans…do you realize milk and egg price has nearly doubled in the last year..farmers are impacted by fuel prices greatly…take off your blinders my friends, we are caught in a vicious cycle. The terrorist and those that support them have us where they want us. We sacrifice lives, body parts and blood, spend billions in treasure in a tangible fight for freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan while Muslim countries and enemies of America drain our pocket books through American gas stations. It will take courageous leadership to untangle the mess.
So what about American leadership? Hear of any new oil wells being drilled anywhere in American soil? Any new refineries being built? Any serious efforts on alternative fuels? Any action on the billions being spent to care for illegal aliens? No, the Administration and Congress come up with some ****amamie scheme of rebate which may fill the tanks twice. They ignore the basic problem because to fix it would cut the profits of the greedy corporations, speculators, politicians, and oil producing countries…
All we hear is the insane, disgusting, rhetorical insulting nonsense from presidential candidates who are filled with a selfish, personal power agenda…one candidate suggests taking the gas tax off for the summer…no one ever accused a politician of deep thinking…….none of them worth the crotch sweat of one American warrior who they use as cannon fodder.
Folks I’ll tell you, I think I know how to get the attention of those who have accepted leadership responsibility…it will require action from tens of millions of Americans that love our nation, what it stands for, willing to sacrifice and put America before personal need. I used to think the ballot box was the answer, but it isn’t.
We must step onto the street, put “boots on the ground” in massive numbers throughout America and bring America to a halt for a few days….in short send a message that “we’ve had enough and demand solutions for America, not the world”…or worse is to come.
Many of us have spent some time in the fox-hole and we have men and women in the fox-hole today…politicians of both parties sold me and America out by surrendering a war we won in Viet Nam and I see a great deal of comparison in Washington that reflects another sell-out attitude.
Today, the sell-out reaches well beyond military impact. If we honestly examine conditions in America, we can only conclude a disaster is in the making and our very existence is in jeopardy.
I am only one, but Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM I’ll be on the street in my town…it’s not enough, but it’s something and I can do more.

Sounds to me like Ever spends way too much time debating “CNN FACTS’ at a college coffee shop. I am really impressed with your gramatically correct comments, I am happy that all that money you spent in college went to something. We have all learned a lesson from you; No matter how much money you spend, or how much you expand your use of the english language, you cannot buy common sense at a university.
